alo: 55 dbq: 55 iow: 61tomorrow night: mostly clear low: 34-40 winds: w 10-20 al 35 dbq: 34 w: 39 anks kaj. an expanded medical marijuana bill is close to the house floor. it passed the house commerce committee. the bill will allow the manufacture, sale and distribution of cannabis oil in the state. the legislation has changed drastically since it s srted. originally, the house bill called for the state department of health to issue licenses to 4 cannabis manufacturers and 12 dispensers. the new version reduces that to 2 manufactures that could also dispense cannabis oil. the old version also allowed doctors to prescribe cannabis oil for more than 10 conditions. the new version includes just 3... m-s, terminal cancnc, and severe epilepsy. this version passed 17-6 as been lining up for and against the bill. cannabis oil is technically legal to use in iowa now for help with chronic epilepsy. it's illegal to bring cannabis oil in, or buy it in the state. the new bill doesn't go as far to change that as it once did, but the bill's creator says getting it ththugh committee is a step in the righ
