home overnight. and kpix 5's anne makovec joins us live as investigators try to figure out exactly what happened. anne. >> reporter: yeah. the arson investigator is right here at fuchsia court in hayward. you can see the scene here behind me. firefighters will be here for about another hour as the investigation into what happened begins. firefighters got the call at about 3 a.m. and when they got here, the home was engulfed in flames. they knocked down the front door. >> yes, they are closely packed inside there and we had concern initially of an exposure an adjoining unit. the fire didn't extend to that. fire was only contained to the one fire unit. >> reporter: they found a man lying close to the entryway of that home. obviously deceased but firefighters don't know right now if he died in the fire or before it. so they are going to determine how that man died as well as what started the fire. two big questions right now, they do say though that it does not appear to be a suspicious fire. live in hayward, anne makove
