i'm anne-marie green. today, president obama becomes the first sitting president to visit hiroshima where seven decades ago the united states dropped the first atomic bomb. early this morning, mr. obama arrived at a marine corps air station about 26 miles southwest of the city. he'll travel to hiroshima's peace memorial park to place a wreath. the bomb killed an estimated 140,000 people. the president remarked briefly on the visit in a speech to the marines. >> this is an opportunity to honor the memory of all who were lost during world war ii. it's a chance to reaffirm our commitment to pursuing the peace and security of a war where nuclear weapons would no longer be necessary. it's a testament to how even the most painful divides can be bridged. >> the president will not apologize for the bomb or second guess president truman's decision to use it. >>> it was nearly a year ago that donald trump launched an unlikely campaign for the republican presidential nomination. he's knocked off 16 rivals, and cbs ne
