anne ruben is at the scene. >> reporter: the trouble they say, lots of speeding cars, lots of pedestrians, and what they call a disregard for traffic signals. this tiny bike is evidence. a three year old was riding it across the intersection when he was struck by a turning pick up truck. >> we do know the child was a few feet in front of the rest of the group. we also know that all parties had a green light at this intersection. >> reporter: authorities don't know what caused this accident, but they will investigate whether the driver was distracted. they say he is cooperating. >> a pick up truck went a few feet down before making a u turn. >> reporter: for neighbors, this accident comes as no surprise. >> i call it the folton speed way. it's a death trap, that corner. >> reporter: with lots of pedestrians leaving the park, it's long been a problem area. >> it was accidents almost every week here. >> reporter: since then, new signage help a bit according to residents, but they say it's simply not enough. >> we always have said it's going to take somebody getting seriously hurt, probably a
