new at 5:00, ktvu's anne rubin is live outside paradise valley elementary, where police are working to there's no fresh paint on the walls and doors here. the school wanted this addressed as quickly as possible. so do police. the school custodian spotted the graffiti, some showing swastikas, others saying "kkk all day." >> it's sad to see that in the morning that someone would vandalize the school. >> reporter: but there were other messages, too, referencing rock bands, rap lyrics, marijuana, and even a local high school, saying live oak was here. morgan hill police think these may shed light on who is responsible for the graffiti. >> at this point in the investigation, we think they were juvenile adolescents, randomly walking through the neighborhood and randomly chose the school as one of the places to tag. >> reporter: also damaged, a panel van and two vehicles nearby, which had their windshields smashed. the school estimates a couple thousand dollars in damage. >> it's really a violation to all of us, but particularly the children attending here. we don't want their day interrupted
