anna bower, let me start on the lin wood. -- full of cooperating and then -- atlanta journal-constitution reporting, and i just want to read what they are reporting, that they talk to him. he said, i didn't slip on president. trump that just pure nonsense. i would not have any knowledge to flip on him. he said, he has been told he will be subpoenaed by the prosecution, but he has not had any conversations with willis about what questions he will be asked. what do you make of all that? >> right. so, i think that there could be a few things going on here. one is that we know that lin wood testified before the special grand jury that investigated 2020 election interference for more than seven months last year. so, he has already had this experience of testifying in fulton county about these matters. he has some knowledge of the election lawsuits, as you pointed out. he also has some knowledge of some of the early conversations that were going on when he hosted people like sydney powell at his plantation in south carolina. it was

joining me now is fulton county correspondent at [inaudible] anna bower. anna, it's so good to see you, thank you for joining us. let's start very quickly on this narrow gag order. the doj is seeking one that would be narrowly tailored. it would keep trump from making statements about the identity of the testimony of witnesses that are going to come up in this case in front of judge chutkan. also, he couldn't make any remarks about anyone involved in that proceeding that would be considered to be disparaging and inflammatory or intimidating. let's stop right here and, because that is kind of his m.o.. that is trump's m.o.. so is there is a concern but there's going to be a first amendment issue that might kick up vis-À-vis this gag order that's been set up by the doj at this time? >> look, i don't think that there will be a first amendment issue. i certainly think that john lauro and trump's team is going to argue that, but as you said, it is narrowly tailored. and so i don't foresee there being an issue with that. i think that it is a smart move on the spe

joining me now, anna bower, legal fellow and courts correspondent for lawfare, also with us is morgan clown, the professor of law at emory university in atlanta georgia. welcome to both of you, thank you for being with us this morning. analysts start with you. in a new article for lawfare, you wrote about some of your takeaways from this special grand jury report. now in one of the observations, this just came, out so most people have not had a chance to read this. but in one observation, you noted quote, comparing the special grand jury report to the indictment indicates that willis did not feel especially beholden to the jurors recommendations on indictments. in some instances, she declined to charge trump with crimes at the grand jury thought she should pursue, and quote, tell me about that, tell me why she would have taken that special grand jury's recommendations, and just decided to take some, and ignore others. >> right, so i think it is important to note that the special grand jury finished its investigation in december. it wrote that report, published it. and then subsequentl
