political editor of the mirror, ben glaze, and economics and trade correspondent for the telegraph, anna isaacstay with us for that. good evening. iran has summoned the british ambassador in tehran to complain about what it says is the illegal detention of one of its oil tankers in the straits of gibraltar. the vessel was stormed by royal marine commandos this morning after concerns that it was carrying two million barrels of iranian oil to syria, in breach of eu sanctions. british and american authorities have been tracking the vessel for months. it loaded up in iran and may have been expected to take a shorter route from iran, via the suez canal, to syria's mediterranean coast. this would have been cheaper and much safer than the route it actually took, which was around the cape of africa, around the east and then west coast of africa, adding thousands of miles to the journey and carrying this cargo of oil which could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars before it was seized. our defence correspondent jonathan beale reports. britain's ministry of defence has released these photos of the

anna isaac is the economics and trade correspondent at the telegraph, she says its a way of creating want to be able to have a competitive tax environment because they feel that will attract bigger companies towards them. ireland have done it for many years. we can see it in distorted gdp figures, they have been playing host to these countries with a very low tax regime, virtually no tax regime where you can set up shop in ireland and be registered there but not registered for tax purposes. you can generate a lot of income in the country but not necessarily be taxed in the country where you are making it. that means they have got vested interest in maintaining that edge over other countries so it's very difficult for the likes of luxembourg or other eu member states, ireland and france to agree on what level is best suited to their needs. the uk has lost patience with it. philip hammond has made a commitment to press ahead with the 2% tax on digital revenue. but we saw last night, when telegraph business wrote a big story about the problems you're getting with us—uk trade talks that
