look at the mainsail beach inn on anna maria island. beautiful blue skies. the best chance of rain in the first part of the day will be close to the coastline but the only thing i see is that little tiny spot near holiday trying to work its way inland. not doing a very good job of it. not a very big batch of rain either. the rest of the area, all the major roads and bridges are dry. we had showers that moved across i-75 in sarasota county earlier but dry we'll see more showers bubbling up around noon and then they will become more widespread with 30% coverage by 4:00. close to 90 as the high again today. tomorrow and thursday, then a cool front pushes through the area and we'll start to see the temperatures come down some. not dramatic. you'll notice the difference in the morning with the lower humidity and slightly lower temperatures. this weekend looks fabulous, relatively cool mornings for temperatures near 70 degrees on saturday and then afternoon high of 86, we'll only see a few afternoon showers and ? anna maria island, rain free for sure. look at the blue skies there. just a beautiful day out at the beaches. none of the beaches in pinellas county right now are wet. we're looking good there as well. it's just this one batch of rain between i-75, i-4 and 275. the southeast. now it has started to spin in place. if you are south of i-4, around i-75, so that's the mango and brandon, that's where the rain is headed. it may take a little longer before it gets into your area. as we look wider, you see how the batch of rain developed and then start today spin in the same spot. we're also watchi storms in highlands county. again, not a real big deal. typical weather that we would see very isolated rain in fact and storms in comparison to what we might see this time of year. futurecast is depicting what we're seeing on radar. a batch of storms in the center of hillsborough county and working its way farther inland through the next couple of hours. we will continue to have chances for the isolates showers and storms through about sunset. then they will taper o

you can see along the sarasota county coastline towards anna maria island, we're tracking heavy down pours, and heavy rain around sea bring, archibold biological station. also dealing with that around pine ridge, over towards brooksville, these showers and storms will continue for a few more hours. it won't be until after sunset when the rain will come to an end. when you wake up tomorrow morning, i think it'll be mostly dry. but it's going to be a warm start. upper 70s, and then we'll see that's due to a tropical wave increasing moisture around here. by noon, storms will have developed inland. and then we'll see scattered showers and storms continuing into the afternoon and evening hours. heavy rainfall expected. that tropical wave lifts north tuesday night into wednesday. but we're still looking at deep moisture around. we'll keep a slight rain chance wednesday morning. and a good 50% chance of rain through the day as we head into wednesday afternoon. out in the tropics, we have tropical storm ian which over the bahamas. this has a 10% chance of development. it will bring heavy rai

main sail beach in right now on anna maria island, we have plenty of sunshine and people enjoying the sand right now. if you need to run out to the grocery store before dinner, you don't need to worry about getting inundated with any heavy downpours right now. when we broaden the view, we see the showers trying to work its way across highlands county. they're not really holding together. so you may encounter a brief shower over hours if you're in the southern counties. nothing that would cause you problems if you're staking a trip to the grocery store. this is 4:00 today. you casee how the model is showing the bulk of the moisture is to our south and east. then it works its way clo about reach the ground if we see any of it veloping at all. by midnight, perfectly dry. that's where the clouds start the temperatures down a bit. when you wake up tomorrow morning, it will feel almost as good as it did this morning. 8:00, nice and dry. no worries about the morning commute tomorrow with any rain or wet roads out there. at noon, take lunch in the park. a great for it as long as you don't min
