there annandale, an inch and a half. we're looking cold this affect. nice and sunny but cold. a slow climb up to 24. maybe 25. and those winds, they are going to keep wind chills in the single digits and teens. satellite and radar, it shows the snow from last night. still a couple of clouds hanging out well to the southeast. but we have cleared out nicely this midday. and still very cold. the temperatures 22 now in cumberland but 3 above in the mountains. and oakland, it is 22 in fredericksburg and 16 in gaithersburg. and the fresh snow is on the ground and the wind chill, 6 above in eastham. and one below in hagerstown and 9 in dc. needless to say, a very cold but bright looking day. it is 20 on the weather camera. winds out of the west/northwest at 10. gusting not at 20 to 25 like they had been. the humidity is very dry. humidifiers are a must and hand lotion as well. the whole pattern is about to change. notice what is happening in the pacific northwest. and an onshore flow in the jet stream and cut out the arctic air and bring in the pacific air as opposed to the arctic ai

annandale looking at 29 degrees. temperatures are up 2 degrees from last hour. 25 degrees in gaithersburg. out at maryland, hanging around 40 degrees. surprised, by tomorrow morning, if we see temperatures in the lower 40's. 14 degrees in chicago, 27 degrees in detroit. then this cold front comes racing through. this happens around 11:00, 12:00. up wind will begin to kick and the temperatures will drop quick way. drop into theill teens for a couple of hours around sterling and ashford. those temperatures will steadily rise as we move through the overnight. it is quiet and dry right now. we may see a few snow showers tomorrow afternoon. not expecting any accumulations. it will be cold air and gusty wind. this is our futurecast. temperatures will rebound by about 5:00 tomorrow morning. we movet happens as through the day. the cold front moves by. by 3:00 in the afternoon, just about 30 degrees. 9:00 tomorrow night, back into the teens. the big story will be waking up tuesday morning. we are talking single digits. wides

in annandale, 35 right now and the low temperature this morning was 35 also. 37 was the high, so not much change. topped out at 40 degrees this afternoon. across the area, temperatures are still colder than average, but much warmer than it was a couple of days ago. quantico, 33 in annapolis and 37 at reagan national airport. freezing rain advisory over a wide area tomorrow. there is a possibility that a regular rain will fall on --peratures with services surfaces colder than 32 degrees. cold air is wedged east of the appellations at the same time warmer air overhead is coming in. a few areas north and west, frederick county, loudoun county, may see a little snow before the changeover occurs. the cold air is slowly moderating. charleston is at 46 right now. really warm stuff will come in on saturday as we get into the next 36-48 hours. the moisture and a cloudiness from the southwest -- you can see the stint of the rain here has diminished in the last couple of hours. untreatedwill be surfaces, sidewalks that have not been treated with salt or chemicals. major roadways should be fine.
