anne, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. several streets closed down this morning in this nopa area. i'm here along the golden gate at masonic. officers are take pictures and measurements. a 55-year-old man was killed. he was walking across turk apparently crossing masonic when he was hit by a vehicle. his body flew several yards and the driver took off. take a look at this video that we shot just a few blocks away from the crash scene where there was a secondary crash scene. this is where the driver was taken into custody. he was actually injured himself, a 23-year-old man. he crashed into some planters here at st. mary's medical center and he was arrested and taken to the hospital. he will obviously be facing some very serious charges. now, back out here live at masonic, golden gate and turk, this is where the investigation will continue for hours. masonic has had several problems with pedestrians. it's a 25-mile-per-hour zone but there are some incidents where people have been hit even crossing in crosswalks. back to you.
