i'm anne-marie green. in washington this morning there appears to be progress on avoiding another government shutdown. working against a thursday night deadline, the house passed a short-term budget deal last night, and senate leaders say that they are close to a long-term agreement, but neither deal addresses immigration reform, and president trump is not happy. hena doba is here in new york. hena, good morning. >> good morning, anne-marie. there's plenty of optimism on capitol hill that a deal is close. over at the white house, though, the president says if immigration isn't properly dealt with, a shutdown might actually be helpful. lawmakers on both sides of the aisle believe they can and will avoid another government shutdown before thursday's deadline for a budget. a deal could come as soon as today despite the curveball president trump threw at negotiations yesterday. >> if we don't change it, let's have a shutdown. we'll do a shutdown, and it's worth it for our country. i'd love to see a shutdown if
