joining me now from our westminster studio is anne longfield, the children's commissioner.ly, it is a statistic, 700,000 children, but these are all individuals who are in very difficult positions. are they getting the help they need? that is right. these are not only stark statistics, these are children who often statistics, these are children who ofte n ha d statistics, these are children who often had the odds stacked against them. it means they are getting a negative experience or impact in their lives of some sort that will really hold them back from succeeding. the 700,000 children are living in families that maybe are getting treatment for alcohol abuse or drug abuse or perhaps domestic violence, but also we know that over half a million children are so vulnerable that actually the state house to step in, either by providing support or care. so these are huge numbers and i think also shocking in that they are also an under estimation. so those 700,000 children in england in families described as high risk, would it be better for them to be taken out of those families
