live at the bay bridge toll plaza, anne makevoc, kpix 5. >>> in pacifica, crews are keeping a careful eye on strong waves and powerful rain to protect the city's coastline. kpix 5's maria medina is live in pacifica with the latest. maria >>> reporter: kenny, yeah. what they're really worried about is the amount of rain that's going to fall with this storm in this short amount of time and we are seeing puddling in the streets now an indication that it's been raining here for quite some time. now what they're really concerned about, though, is the coastal bluff down the street from me where they really saw some erosion earlier this year during the el nino storms that forced the city to declare a state of emergency. they also demolished an apartment building before it went over the cliff and they red-tagged a building. we also saw this seawall breach as well during one of those storms and public works crews say they have those repairs nearly complete. although they can't control the weather, they say all they can do is stay on top of things. >> what we have been doing maybe the last thre
