so live in daly city, anne makevoc, kpix 5. >>> in santa clara county, the district attorney is promising to get to the bottom of policing disparities. kpix 5's maria medina is live in san jose on the new report that shows there's much work to be done. maria >>> reporter: good morning. the santa clara county district attorney started collecting numbers from cases back in 2013 to 2015. he wanted to answer the question, is our justice system fair to everyone? and this is what his office found after they collected that data. what was most striking to community leaders is that 50% of latinos charged with resisting arrest even though they make up only 26% of the population here in santa clara county. and 14% of blacks were charged with resisting arrest, despite making up only 3% of the population. now, a psychologist in new york showed racial bias and prejudice by testing people who had to make a quick decision to shoot a white or black person holding a gun or harmless object and here's what he found. >> now, you are in the role of a police officer and what's been found is that if the person w
