anne makovec is at justin herman plaza where there's been a confrontation over some barricades placed there last night. anne, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. still no firm deadline on when this camp has to be out of here, although mayor ed lee said yesterday that he is getting close to a decision that would pull the trigger on forcing these people out of justin herman plaza. some have left on their own but the majority of the camp remains here right now. that's after police advanced on the camp last evening. here wars the scene around 5 p.m. when police began encircling the camp with barricades and demonstrators shoved them back. police say they were only trying to create a safety zone and clear the sidewalks. protestors declared victory when police backed down last night and they had another general assembly meeting when the group could not come to an agreement about a possible move to the mission. >> seems a little bit almost getting more complicated than the things we're fighting against. so i think in my opinion, speaking on behalf of myself and my involvement with them,

we go live to anne makovec who was in the courtroom. >> reporter: the sentence just came down within the last 45 minutes. you can see a crowd there gathered listening to the defense right now as they react to this sentence. the headline here is that there is no prison time for barry bonds. that was his and his defense team's main concern but he did get probation. let's look at what the judge handed out today. two years' probation, 30 days house arrest, though that is at his house in a large house in beverly hills. also 250 hours of community service and a $4,000 fine which the prosecution actually called laughable considering the size of bonds' bank account. now, the judge stayed this sentence pending appeal. that means it is not officially going to go into effect until that appeal comes in and bonds' lawyers have 10 days to make that appeal. bonds, of course, was convicted of felony obstruction of justice in april for giving evasive testimony during a federal grand jury probe into the balco steroids scandal back in 2003. this is bonds arriving in the courthouse this morning, the fed
