live in oakland where we wil >>> i am anne makovec live in oakland.you can see the damage left behind by the last night violent protests here. this is just a small picture of it. the scene is being replayed throughout the downtown area. this is for about a dozen blocks and here's the walgreens across from city hall. you can see the window was smashed. part of this was boarded up but that was no match for the protesters that really wanted to get in here. you can see this huge pile of glass, an absolute mess to worry about this morning. across the street at 14th and broadway you can see the chase bank was broken into and looted. over here a bus stop was also demolished. many saw the same fate last night. let me show you this video when things were really popping off around midnight. you can see the fires that were being lit, and once people made entry into some of these stores, they were breaking in and grabbing whatever they could. looting was a real problem last night. also, again, the fires that were lit back here. you can see the aftermath of one of
