ktvu's ann ruben is live in san jose where she's learned about the man who was killed in the crash, and unfortunately, it's not his family's first brush with tragedy. ann. >> well, originally from santa cruz, dan mcguire was a san jose state graduate and was currently working for triple crown consulting. loved ones described him as both a great leader and a free spirit. >> loved ones are in shock, not just that dan mcguire's life was cut short, but also that his family was struck by tragedy again. his brother, andrew, was also killed in a car accident. these are photos from a memorial they held from him on the beach. >> he was telling me how close to his brother he was and how, you know, how traujic that was in his life. >> and now this. colleagues saw the accident and feared the worse. dan mcguire's car was one of ten struck by an out of control tractor-trailer on highway 17. he was killed instantly. >> we've lost a genuine soul. >> we respected him for the man that he was and just -- i'm just shocked that he's not going to be there anymore. >> now, chp investigators are trying to dete
