annette bigler of kcbs radio showsus why they have police concerned. >> reporter: two different stabbings here and the first one at star bird park, a family friendly area. i talked to a woman over here who lives nearby and she said she actually saw the tail end of the stabbing that happened monday night. and she saw a boy bleeding on the ground and his mother screaming. police say the two boy, 16 and 18 years old, were attacked by a group of five people who yelled gang affiliations at them, and then attacked them. the two boys were both sent to the hospital with stab wounds. the second stabbing happened at great oaks park, also in san jose, and there, a group of 10 people asked if another group of people were gang members, when they said no, they were set upon with knives and bottoms and rocks. two people in that incident also sent to the hospital with stab wounds. now, none of the injuries in either incident is life- threatening. which is the good news. but police are concerned about this very bold gang activity here in san jose and it is not clear whether the two stabbings were related.
