it's not like the drug is controlling the behavior to the extent that we believe -- >> this is so annetteto the way we think about this. i've read the book, i've talked to you. i even just had this -- i just feel like it doesn't jibe with what i've seen. it feels like it's making an assault on what i have seen. i have seen people ruin their lives with a substance. i've seen it. >> that's a great point. that's an excellent point. because i think everybody has seen what you just said. but the thing is they really haven't seen what they think they've seen in that when we think about addiction there are -- people are addicted for a variety of reasons. some people have -- many people have co-occurring psychiatric disorders so they're depressed, they have schizophrenia, they have anxiety. all of those sorts of things plays a role in this. other people no job, lack of options or attractive options, you have all of these reasons before we can attribute to the behavior solely to the drug, we have to tease apart all these other things. >> so i think the kind of takeaway here is that we -- there's a

joining us now is more on this, cnbc annette. >> president obama is set to arrive here in brussels. and they will talk with eu leaders about economic sanctions on russia. could russian troops, really, ready to move into the ukrainian territory. that would trigger economic sanctions. obama is here in europe and he wanted to convince europeans that economic sanctions are very sensible move. and it seems as if he actually succeeded in convincing european leaders. they seem to be in favor of sector sanctions. talking about that, we are, as well, talking about potential gas supply from the united states to europe because currently one-third of gas is coming to russia. that might be in danger of coming down the path of sector sanctions on russia. so european leaders are calling for some restrictions on those laws currently in place in the united states. allowing gas exports to free trade partners, which, of course, the european union is not yet. with that, i'm sending it back over to you. >> annette, thank you very much. >>> in the meantime, blackrock has a warning for big companies. he s
