annie mccormick is at the septa union headquarters, looks like it's close, annie. >> reporter: it's not a done deal yet, the signatures have not been put on the deal made between the union and septa. this is video from ten minutes ago, there you see septa leaders walking into local 234 the union that's where they are going to make the signatures. the talks between the union and septa had to be halted because power went out in the sheraton, so both sides went back to their respectful headquarters. the latest proposal had salary increases and enhanced pension plan, to off set the costs, the union would have to pay $120 more a month for human being. the chairman of septa would not give specifics, but they said they needed to go to the union and both sign before they say it is done. we spoke to him about an hour ago when he arrived at septa met quarts, here's what he had to say. >> we agree in principle. without dwight evans, we would still be sitting around. dwight was the catylist getting this done. our guys on staff did a magnificent job negotiating and willie worked hard he wanted a set

they left the table after midnight last night annie with no deal.y cause to be more hopeful today for progress? >> reporter: we talked to some sources this morning who say they're pretty optimistic. nothing has been signed yet. septa did release a statement late last night saying that they made steady progress. the union though, however, did reject the latest proposal that septa gave them late tuesday. well take a look at this video of picketers more than 4700 transport workers union employees walked off the job after midnight. local 234 would not go into details about that pro he posed contract that they did rehe receive late tuesday, only saying it barely will anything new and was quickly he rejected. however all along guaranteed full pension plans have been the deal breaker for the union. now median salaries for employees according to septa is 68,000 and they are working to find a contract that remains fair and affordable for the taxpayers and riders who fund septa. now, we did speak to congressman bob brady early in the morning around 1:00 a.m.
