that's where annie mccormack is live tonight. she has the latest. what have you learned, annie?> reporter: and brian, medics did rush that little girl here in the children's hospital of philadelphia. we were told that she fell from the second floor of her home on to cement pavement but she is in stable condition at this time. well, take a look at this video. this is video from the scene. 16th district police there at the 800 block of north marco street in west philadelphia. it was in the rear of this home where police say the 2-year-old girl fell from a back window from the second floor. police say there was no screen covering the window. the child was playing with toys at the time. her mother was in the other room when she heard the child scream. police say that little girl fell on to cement pavement. now, the fall happened just after 7:30 tonight. police say there do not appear to be any signs of foul plays and looks like an accident. however, the investigation is ongoing and detectiveses from the special victims unit are handling the investigation. back out here live, again,

annie mccormack is live along the 700 block of hartford road in morristown with what happened next, annie>> reporter: and sarah, the prosecutor's office saying tonight this is still an ongoing investigation. but also saying there is no reason for the public to be alarmed. the resident telling police he was just defending himself during this deadly home intrusion. investigators on the scene late into sunday afternoon. near lu 15 hours after a 911 call brought police to this home. detectives combed the front lawn, roadway and property across the street. multiple police agencies responded to a resident's 911 call around 12:20 this morning. that resident told authorities two intruders broke in. sources say they were armed with bats. authorities say the resident grabbed a knife, killing one intruder during a struggle and wounding another. detectives on the morristown police department and the burlington county prosecutor's office are still investigating if a man with stab wounds that showed up to a local hospital is the second intruder. the home stands alone across from an active construction

fox5's annie yu live at this scene with an update there. so annie, what's the situation now? this accident from early this morning the double fatal had a huge impact on traffic out here on route 50 on the westbound lanes all the lanes were shut down for several hours. if you look behind me you can see it's all open now and the last 15 minutes or so crews swept away the debris. they towed away the cars and all lanes are open but the bad news if you're headed to d.c. clearly you can see the back up there and so if you're headed eastbound you're okay. traffic is flowing nicely but is building. the accident itself happened around 2:00 o'clock and we actually have some video of the accident scene from this morning. maryland state police say that they received reports this morning about a car traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of route 50 and so they say that it was a wrong way driver that crashed into two other cars causing this big accident. it's not clear right now which of the the drivers was traveling the wrong way. that is still under investigation. but we had two car
