fox5's annie yu live at this scene with an update there. so annie, what's the situation now? this accident from early this morning the double fatal had a huge impact on traffic out here on route 50 on the westbound lanes all the lanes were shut down for several hours. if you look behind me you can see it's all open now and the last 15 minutes or so crews swept away the debris. they towed away the cars and all lanes are open but the bad news if you're headed to d.c. clearly you can see the back up there and so if you're headed eastbound you're okay. traffic is flowing nicely but is building. the accident itself happened around 2:00 o'clock and we actually have some video of the accident scene from this morning. maryland state police say that they received reports this morning about a car traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of route 50 and so they say that it was a wrong way driver that crashed into two other cars causing this big accident. it's not clear right now which of the the drivers was traveling the wrong way. that is still under investigation. but we had two car
