haley: annie? annie: vote. seriously. run for office. show up and vote. and i will be brief, i promise. but i really want everybody to take away that there is something that you can do on an individual level, and everybody's activism does not have to look the same. i give this example often when trying to convince legislators that we should talk about consent and preschool and elementary school. my partner has a dog. it's a really cute dog. anecdotally, there's no scientific research to back this up, but young boys will more often than not pet this dog without asking permission, and parents will not do anything. young girls are more likely to ask permission. i have a dog. where does your dog like to be pet? can i pet your dog? and if they don't, parents will punish them. and so, thinking about consent and permission in everyday ways is really important. whether you are a doctor, a teacher, a student, a sister, a friend, a parent, an ally, there is something you can do. and so my challenge would be not only to vote but to look at your everyday life. whethe

annie mccormick is live at the scheen. scene. annie, what's the situation? >> jim, family members tell us the 23-year-old driver, the homicide victim in the case was traveling in the van to a nearby gas station when shots wran sho. homicide detective detectives ae scene and the van is still here. shots were fired as the van traveled north on broad street. the 23-year-old family driver suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. five passengers in the car, three children and two adults in their 20s. all suffered wounds from the crash but are stable. >> family members who lived nearby rushed to the scene. police are looking for a dark colored vehicle. they believe someone in the car opened fire on the van as it traveled west on broad street. then the driver lost control and crossed other several lanes of traffic crashing into this building on the 5800 block of old york road. >> it appears the van was struck at least five times by gunfire. we found five bullet holes on the driver side as well as the driver door. that appears to be

annie, what's the story?ially police are not saying much about these deaths, if they believe that these are criminal or suspicious. they will only say that they are in the early stages of their investigation but detectives were in and out of this home where those bodies were discovered earlier today. they are doing that for much of the day. this is video from the scene. philadelphia police did confirm two people were found dead inside the home in the 2900 block of mercer afternoon today. the 36-year-old off duty female police officer is inside and also a male acquaintances in his 40's, both discovered dead. now, police have kept a large presence out here as they process the scene. friends and family members remained outside for much of the day. friends tell us the man found inside the home was a long time acquaintance of the officer's. friends say that the officer did not show up to work in the first district and it was her colleagues who came to check on her and then made the discovery. now back out here liv
