well, annie is a queen, so we'll start with that.he has been on the territory since it was founded. she's named after annie alexander, who was, like the founder of the museum of vertebrate zoology on campus. and like, i love that museum so much. she has my heart. so like just knowing that she's named after such an incredible person. and then also, like i get to share her name is like, really cool. annie has raised 22 chicks at the historic campanile. what the webcams have really allowed me to see is that while these are wild animals, they are individuals. they have unique personalities and annie has during her long reign had four different mates. she established the territory with grinnell, he founded the territory and he was a steadfast mate to annie, very dedicated. alden was a superhero. he showed up and he just knew what to do. he was disabled, but it didn't stop him. lieu was a very fun and particular male, but he just had a little more of a playful attitude to him and almost whimsical. andnd then finally we have archie, who's a
