annie mccormick is at einstein where the hero teen is recovering. that 17-year-old was taken by ambulance to einstein hospital who remains here with serious back injuries. his family members say they had to chase down the driver after the teen pushed his nephew to safety. >> reporter: relatives of this man dequa brown was walking his nephew home from school when witnesses say the driver of a truck went through a stop sign, brown pushed his nephew to safety. brown was hit by the vehicle. relatives say they ran over the driver who they claim took off. the car continued to run, i ran down the street, threw his car in park, grabbed his keys. >> reporter: witnesses say the driver was distracted. the driver agreed he was distracted, but told dann cuellar he didn't stop because 40 to 50 students began kicking his truck. >> how can you didn't stop? they had to stop you? you were scared. >> everybody was chasing this truck and he continued to run down the street. >> reporter: and back out here live, family members and people at the scene say they called 911

annie mccormick is live from police headquarters with details on the on going investigation. annie. >> reporter: the brother who survived is in critical condition at the children's hospital in philadelphia. family members said he had not been able to communicate with his family just yet. in the meantime police say they are working hard to figure out who is responsible. family members identified the victims of a brutal shooting sunday as teen brothers, zybrii davis and sybrii davis. according to police and family around 2:30 p.m. on lions avenue a shooter in a dark vehicle opened fire on the hondia with the brothers inside. the shooter had a a brief conversation with the teens before firing his weapon. zybrii davis was hit in the torso and pronounced dead a short time later. a bullet struck sybrii davis in the side of his face. he is in critical condition at children's hospital. after the gunman opened fire the brothers tried to drive away to safety, but struck a pole. homicide investigators in the crime scene unity spent hours speaking to witnesses and and gathering surveillan

. >> let's go to annie mccormick she is in one of the places where they will see the snow first, checking out conditions in allentown, lehigh county. good morning, annie. , good morning, tam, we're seeing flurries right now, i saw a salt truck coming through, we're at cedar crest boulevard and hamilton boulevard. there's a salt truck that just went by. on the way up here from bala cynwyd on the pennsylvania turnpike, we saw plow trucks two exits before quakertown on the side of the road to see if they will be needed along that route. 309 we could see brining that was done recently or overnight. the roads were pretreated. as we got into allentown, some of the roads are pretreated. we're seeing plow trucks in the parking lot waiting with their lights on giving us honks as they go by saying good morning, waiting to see what happens. i can tell you we're seeing flurries and the temperatures are slower than they were yesterday, so it's one of those bundle up days with hat on, we have the downed jacket back out, something i thought was going to be back in the closet for the next couple of month
