annmarie: the bloomberg invest conference's been going on for the past two days.lked to the big names in private capital, private equity, credit markets, you name it. earlier i was lucky enough to sit down with mike from that conference and we discussed the state of the credit market and debated the liquid and look at where he's finding good opportunities. mike: in our credit business the bulk of our credit assets are in the private market. so we are originating and controlling assets, portfolio managing them in a way that slightly different if you were buying high-yield bonds or leverage loans. what i can say is if you look at the portfolio performance, the underlying we have investments, the underlying performance is still strong. so i think what's making this challenging is the inflation picture is a reflection of a still strong economy usually when were talking about risk of recession and defaults, the economy is already weak. we are projecting weakening but not seeing it yet. spreads are not necessarily reflecting the potential distress so feel-good were defa
