. >>> anny hong has the latest models in the weather center. hi anny. >> bruce, yeah the tropical storm debby is just slow moving almost stationary which is why they're getting so much rain in parts of florida and into alabama and along the gulf coast. here's tropical storm debby now. the winds are sustained at 60 american gusting up to 70 and i mean right now it is stationary. a couple of hours ago it's slowly moving northeast at around 3 miles an hour. check out the forecast models and you can see they don't know really where debby is going to go. a couple maybe saying it will go to the northeast impacting the northwest coast of florida. and also the west coast of also the panhandle. some strengthening is possible over the next 48 hours. maybe a minimal hurricane. but as still -- our model is having a hard time really figuring out what tropical storm debby might do. we're still watching it apparently because of the slow movement from 10 to 20 inches of rain possible in some spots. we'll talk about the chance for showers and storms in our area

let's go outside right now where anny hong is standing by to tell us how long the nice weather will last. >> boy, what a fantastic weekend it's been so far. low humidity. it still got pretty warm, temperatures up to91 degrees in downtown. that's the official high but a lot of folks are enjoying it. right now 80 in downtown. down to 70 for leesburg and in the mid 60s for martinsburg and culpeper, manassas around 68 degrees, dew points in the 60s and 50s and that folks is more comfortable from a few days ago. in the 60s we usually say low 60s is pretty nice. i would say variable too and actually some of the other spots. now satellite and radar picture showing us high pressure is in control. just a few clouds out there but a really nice night. some viewers wrote in from demand doctor saying they were -- alexandria saying they had a fantastic evening. the wakeup weather is showing you plenty of sunshine to start out the day and temperatures in the 60s and 70s and a nice cool start. when i come back we'll talk about the chance for some showers and thunderstorms a little bit later. bruce back
