trooper anthony raspa's young life cut short after a tragic accident in monmouth county earlier this morning. fox9's brad sat 10 is live in hamilton township. heavy hearts for state troopers in new jersey reporter: yeah, joyce no doubt about it. trooper raspa was based here. this is troop c. he was killed about 5 miles from here today at this hour flags are at half-staff. he was remembered today as determined, enthusiastic energetic and kind. it was a freak tragic accident a deer caused the crash that took new jersey state trooper anthony raspa's life early saturday morning on a routine patrol on interstate 195 in monmouth county, his cruiser hit that deer lost control ran off the road and slammed into a tree. it was the only vehicle involved. daylight tells the story of what happened. the 24-year-old trooper who had graduated from the police academy just 19 months earlier lost his life. his partner and passenger 29-year-old gene hong was treated at robert wood johnson hospital for cuts and a neck injury. he's now recovering. trooper raspa lived with his parents about 30 miles to the north in hig
