i'm joined now by anthony glees, who's a security and intelligence expert at the university of buckinghamhreat in this country as a result of what's happening in the middle east? >> without any doubt at all. and the threat could be an immediate threat, but it could also be a longer term threat . the first longer term threat. the first islamist bomb plot in the united kingdom took place in 1999, 2000 and before the war on iraq. incidentally and since that time, we've learned a great deal about how people get radicalised , how people turn to extreme islam, how some of the people who turned to extremism will then turn to terrorism , and that then turn to terrorism, and that these these people will be out there. but you don't have to take my word for it. look at what sir mark rowley said just a few months ago . he said there few months ago. he said there are tens of thousands , thousands are tens of thousands, thousands of people on the counter terrorist police radar right. right now, all they need , he right now, all they need, he said, is a spark to get them going and i think that what we h
