maryland's lieutenant governor anthony brown who joins us now to talk about that and more. thanks for coming in. >> great to be here, tony's start with this special session. what are you hoping comes out of that? >> well, we're asking the legislature to come back august 9th to consider whether or not to expand gaming to another location in prince george's county. bring the total to six in the state. by doing that, we can create jobs in the short-term, construction jobs, in the long- term permanent jobs. add additional revenues to the state so we can continue to invest in law enforcement and our schools and cleaning the environment. that's one of the things. the other piece will be table games at all the locations. it's not an easy issue. there's a lot of spirited debate. we're going to bring the legislature in and debate this one and really get this one behind us and resolve it. there are other issues we need to be taking up in maryland. >> what about the concerns that this will simply draw people who don't really need to be gambling into a casino, it will be easy to get to, and people who can't afford to be gambling mon

anthony and melissa, andrew oberle's friends and lived with him for the past three years. good morning to both of you. thank you for being with us. >> good morning. >> tony, i know you've been in touch with the family a little bit. can you share with us any new information on andrew's condition and prognosis. >> we haven't really heard too much lately. his family has to go you there. we haven't had too much contact with them. we don't really have any new information on how he's doing at this point in time. >> tony, what did his mother tell you in that first phone call before she left for south africa? >> she had just kind of told us what was going on and what had happened. we were both shocked and really saddened by what we heard. all we want to know is if he was doing okay. we were both trying to contact the hospital in south africa just to see how he was doing. but it was just shock and sadness, and just a whole bunch of different emotions that we both were feeling. >> melissa, i know andrew called you a day before the attack. how was he feeling about being back again at the goodall institute to work with those chimps. >> he was very excited to be back

anthony melio who passed away on thursday afternoon. to his family, friends, and neighbors he was known simply as tony, poppop and uncle tony, in the pennsylvania state capital he was known as a hardworking and honorable state representative. having served his country in the naval reserves and working as one of the first employees in the united states fireworks in bucks county, tony's story is a story of my hometown, a town of dignified and hardworking people. tony was a man who built his political career on bringing the community together with his contagious smile and warm personality. he embodied the spirit of public service during his time in harrisburg. as the people's representative from lower bucks county, tony carried out his duties with dignity and perseverance. his commitment to his family and his community were the hallmarks of his service. a man of great faith, bucks county has lost one of its most well respected and beloved public servants in tony. i, like so many, had the privilege of calling tony a friend and a neighbor and my thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time and i thank the united states house of re
