antonio guterres speaking earlier. 0ur climate correspondent georgina rannard is there. about the significance of that agreement world leaders etched out last night. a lot of the people here you can see behind me — these delegates will have been up late into the night yesterday trying to figure out an agreement on this thing you mentioned called article 6.4. it's quite a complicated, dense piece of work, but it was basically a hangover from the paris agreement, which was agreed ten years ago, and countries could never agree on what and how to move forward with it. and they did that yesterday, which will be quite a big boost to the cop presidency here in baku. and it's basically a form of offsetting, to put it simply, which means that richer nations could use the nature, the trees or even plans for renewable energy in poorer countries that have those resources, to offset some of their emissions and create some sort of global carbon trading market. all the details haven't been worked out yet. we'll have to see how that goes. but it was a good start to the to the talks here
