percent, because when i talk about small business, yes, some of those small companies will grow into aol or google. but the truth is most of those small businesses are the ones i started out. i started out as a secretary in a nine-person real estate firm. the dry cleaners, the car dealerships, the community banks, the restaurants, the real estate brokers. these are the backbone of a community, and, yes, there's plenty of opportunity for innovation unless you're just strangling under a whole set of, you know, rules and business conditions that make it very difficult. so i completely agree with you on that. and it's small business in general that we have to focus on. but i want to come back to your political question for a moment, because, you know, as a business person, i ran for office. i ran for the u.s. senate in california. and the reason i did that, clearly i lost, but the reason i did it and the reason i encouraged more people to get into politics is because i think -- first, i think we have so many professional politics who honestly have no other experience than running for political office,

or franchised. what are the hot products? groupon, right? coupons from localized -- zip car, capital bike share, patch at aol, hyperlocallized content. google local, you know, localizing search results. can i -- you know, your phone saying can i identify where you are because where you are actually matters and that you exist in a global space. i don't think there's anything but a compelling story to serve the local market. you know, whether that's news, whether that's advertising, whether that's with shows and content and product, there's a real need there. i think you'll serve it, and i don't think i care who my franchising authority is if i'm making a decision about whether to program for that market. wanted to ask you, also, or have you talk about what the cable industry is doing to further expand broadband in the u.s. there's an initiative by the cable industry. >> guest: yes. well, thank you for asking. it's something i think we're proud of. i think we're the only big industry that's stepped up to that in the telecom space. chairman genachowski talks about it all the time. we have huge penetration on availability of broadband. we have

extraordinary leadership changes aol comes along, looks like it's the next generation, yahoo, google, now facebook. do you really think facebook has 30 to 50 years of world domination orting in three to four years it's old news and there will be huge companies coming up underneath it? >> i think it has many ingredients to be long term like microsoft has been, like google is becoming, like amazon is becoming. its young leadership is a real benefit here. the intellectual stamina and capability of this company is very high. their talent base. we're all competing in silicon valley for talent. they're getting some of the best and brightest. those people are wanting to work for facebook. they have tons of technical acumen. they are an open innovator, willing to innovate themselves and innovate with their partners. that is a very important quality of tomorrow's winners. they're right on the precipice of not just one innovation capability, social, but mobile and cloud, we talked about earlier. that allows them to lean far into the future. i do think also they've done a very good job picking their lrn team. it's -- leadership team. it's not just zuckerberg. cheryl is a huge fo
