we have outlined three themes for apec in 2011. being host of apec also means that we are the chair. that mean we set the agenda and the side what proposals are -- decide what proposals are put on the table and then tried to bring around the other economies to our point of view. they also offer their perspectives and we negotiate out, which will hopefully drive for the substantive policy agenda. the three we have outlined for the year are strengthening regional economic integration and standing trade. of course, the central purpose of a pack as an organization. green growth and regulatory cooperation. on the regional economic peace, the most important agenda for the year is deciding upon a set of next generation invest in issues. figure out strategies for pursuing those in the future. many of you are aware that the u.s. is currently negotiating a free-trade agreement with apec economies. it is called the trans-pacific partnership. that agreement builds upon the u. s-career free trade agreement -- u.s.-korea free trade agreement. ap

i am also proud that this -- pleased that this resolution is supported by apec. it is unfortunate that i feel compelled to offer such a resolution. for years both republican and democratic administrations have recognized that that israel's boundaries of june 1967 are indefensible and if reestablished will create a strategic military vulnebility for our staunch ally israel. mr. president, that is why president obama's recent comments were so dumbfounding. the president's prepared and thor roar rowly considered remarks called for the starting point of negotiations to be what we all know are the militarily indefensible 1967 lines. remember, if israel returns to the 1967 lines, it's territory will in some locations be only nine miles wide. as prime minister binyamin netanyahu correctly stated in a friendly and appropriate correction to the president's remarks, the 1967 lines are not boundaries of peace; they are boundaries of repeated war. israel would have to give up the golan heights, the strategic elevated location which dominates northern israel. does the preside

what measures will be in place to provide protective measures at the apec meeting. >> sir, ds is heavily involved in the event that will take place this fall. the lead agency is the u.s. secret service, which the appropriate given the number of heads of state that will be visiting, but ds will also have a major presence in honolulu. we will be and have been working closely with the secret service and local authorities and other federal agencies to have a good, successful, safe event. >> thank you. mr. ford, as i mentioned in my statement, gao found that ds has inadequate training facilities. currently, there are 16 different facilities for training, some of which are overcrowded or need repair. while ds as developed an interim training facility, your reports suggest it is not adequate to support all the screen needs, especially with the iraq transition. could you elaborate on the effects of the inadequate training facilities? >> yes, there are several issues that we have identified in our report regarding the condition of the facilities. some of them have to do with access, whether or no
