colleagues just wanted to make you aware of exactly how much apec cost the city in terms of city funds to know we are accepting the $6.5 million from the special events committee raised for apec to cover some of the police over-time cost, we know that we also have at the budget committee release $6.5 million of the apec reserve, so it is really even out, both from the accepting this money as well as releasing what is on reserve for spending. but on top of that though, the city also has spend roughly about another $20 million with airport, sfmta, department of emergency management related and department public works related to hosting apec. at the end of the day there is debate and questions between the long-term investment of this $20 million for the city and the immediate budget deficits we have to tackle with this $20 million of spending. it is the reason why though we are also have introduce a supplemental support thanks to cosponsors peskin and dorsey because we also are very much aware while there are winners in this apec event there are also losers which are our small businesses,
