first of all, thank you to all the applicants for submitting their applications and for their interest in serving the city. that's also greatly appreciated. and it's always hard to choose where you have more applicants than you have seats. so, why don't i make a motion with respect to the two seats where i think it's pretty clear in my view what we should do, and that would be with respect to seat 7 where we have only one applicant, and that's dr. o'neill who i think made a very strong presentation and i think has the kind of background that you need. i think she will do a good job. and then also for seat number 2, the reappointment of susanna russo who is currently on the body. my feeling is that as a general rule, you want some continuity and if someone's done a good job, i think it makes sense to continue with that individual. so, i would make the motion -- my suggestion would be i guess maybe we can talk about the other seat, but with respects to seat 7 and 2, that's what i would suggest. >> thank you. so, we do have a motion to move forward susanna russo for seat 2 and dr. shari o

we'll open up to any public comment regarding this application? commissioners my name is stephen castiliano, this was thorough le vetted throughout land use process and there was a particular neighbor who had some concerns and the city of san francisco planning department sent them a two-page, basically codes and requirements to clear up some of the matters. he was very happy with that. in addition, he contacted our office and we sent him a security plan. he was very happy with that. he is also very happy with the fact that most of his concerns were addressed in the good neighbor policy, which they are going to follow. the last email that you got was basically one of contentment saying look, the concerns that i have had have been addressed, and he also thanks us for prompt and excellent communication. now as far as things that we have been in contact with the pd. this is not a mystery. the fact that the security plan seems to be circulating throughout the community and yet the pd doesn't have it, i don't know what happened. it may have been someth

he did submit an application already. before i tell you a little bit about myself, i just want to echo what supervisor elsbernd said about dan weaver. he is awe inspiring, a legendary neighborhood advocate and he would do wonders on this committee. a little bit about myself. i'm a practicing attorney in san francisco. i live in westwood park. i have a son who is now a sophomore at [speaker not understood] high school just adjacent to the balboa park station. i am also a member of the board of directors of the ocean avenue association, the cbd that mr. weaver is the executive director of. and i'm currently serving as treasurer of the ocean avenue association. i think it's fair to say that ocean avenue corridor has turned a corner. we've seen tremendous improvements in the area and i think now is precisely the time to focus on the balboa park station and all that that can offer to the entire community, city college, [speaker not understood], and all the residents in the area. i bring an open mind and a commitment to service
