and apprentices registered with our work force system through one- stop and cbo's the we have contract with through the overall system. and manage apprenticed to the journey level status by the end of the project is one of our key goals, given the length of this project. for the in use side, we have negotiated at least 40 permanent entry-level hires per year over a five-year period. just to give some context, we actually had a working definition of entry level that had entry level defined as any position that would require a two-year degree or less, so they were non epa positions, and just to give further context, i think -- and here they were non ba positions, and their records indicate that about 70 per -- 70 of those fell in this definition of folks that were defined entry-level by a two-year degree or less. the requirements will roll over yearly, with a minimum of 200 hires in five years or until the requirement is met, so in other words, with in the first year, only 30 hires are achieved, the other 10 would roll over to the next year, so the number rolls until we reach the 200 goa

of a hybrid, you know, it has goals for journeymen in this, a 30% threshold for journeymen and apprentices, so it is a bit of a hybrid model. supervisor avalos: it is not a good fit because there are actual requirements, you say? >> the pla is an agreement between the unions and the cpmc. this is our m.o. you. it is between it really the contractor's, you know, and cp mc, so the burden is on the contractors, so you still have that dynamic. supervisor avalos: right, which is similar to our local hire ordinance, but the requirement on the contractors if they do not reach this, then they have liquidated damages. >> then they have the liquidated damages, and that is called out in our document. >> and what are the main trades that we expect? do we have those numbers broken out in terms of how much it will be? >> by trade? i do not have that. it is a hospital project, generally, you are going to start out with your neighbors in europe -- with your laborers and your carpenters, and then you move into the trades, so you will see a spectrum of trades. i do not have the exact numbers by trades, but

in germany we have about 10,000 apprentices. 10,000 apprentices for the sikh men. they go to the technical college is equivalent over germany were halftime and go pay them about 80% of those people working for as after three or four years if they're qualified to graduate that the program doesn't really exist in the u.s. and that is a program that starts with people of high school so one of the things we've done around the plant because we need to have people who can run the plant long term as we started an apprentice program with about 15 people, 15 students out of high school going to local communities and in agreement with local community college to help them build curriculum they're working part time, going to school part time in order to be we have a steady stream of people who can be working in that plant over the long term. something we took on moving with the community college and the state of north carolina. but having more focused efforts it's great to about stem that we have the biggest, the foundation has the largest stem high school competition in the c
