this one is giving the visitors the eye at the aquarium. >> we were the first aquarium in the display in the united states. >> they were the philippines, rich moss and matt set up a holding for the collection. it's like a cleoz line with creatures hanging in the water. >> it takes a while for what kind of float we could use and there were bottles all over the place. >> a loss of work is focused on coral, the reefs are protected by law and the academy is one of the only institutions allowed to take coral from the philippines of them try to find fragments that broke off naturally or take finger sized clippingss that wouldn't damage the animal. back at the aquarium it's put in a careful area. >> some of the largest over here is prior trips to the philippines, you can see by comparison how the small fragments, a size like this can grow into a colony that is that big around in a period of a year or two. >> the academy will use the coral in the own exhibit and trade it to other aquariums, all part of their mission to show visitors why the delicate philippines reef habitat is worth saving, h

a great white shark just released from monterey aquarium has died.sed after living at the aquarium for less than two months. scientists believe it died just a few days after it was freed. it had an electronic tracking tag which indicated it had not moved for 96 hours. sharks must keep moving in order to breathe. the tag has been retrieved but scientists say it is unlikely they will be able to figure out exactly how or why the shark died. >>> the hawk that was found with a nail through its head is back flying over golden gate park. the female red tailed hawk was released this morning and promptly perched itself on a tree to reacquaint itself with the surroundings. the young bird spent ten days the wild rescue center in east san jose where it underwent rehabilitation. wildlife experts say it should have no problem surviving in the wild. the hawk actually popped the nail off its h head by jumping around the cage after it was captured. >>> the klamath river in northern california was once one of the largest spawning grounds anywhere for wild salmon. the

we were actually looking at this space when the aquarium was going to relocate back to the academy. we were looking at this as a possibility for our medical examiner's office. because it had laboratories but ultimately, the determination was it was not enough space here. i am glad, because the location is absolutely perfect for technology companies. it is located very close to all the main thoroughfares. people can bike here. the have the public transportation. the have access right across the street to all of our large conventions when they're in town. it will be easy for them to access as well. i think the tech companies are becoming the largest conventions that we have in the city. it is one of will to see this here. this whole building is going to house some 93,000 square feet already with space up to 625 technology jobs right here in this building. i am excited about this building. but i will tell you, our real- estate experts have told the city there's 40 additional technology companies looking for 1.9 million square feet of space right here in the city. that is equivalent to
