in fact, they say if you were throwing a party, chances are arial was going to be there. police are waiting to interview the three women found alive inside this house after nearly a decade in captivity. the women including one who had a daughter during the ordeal are being given time to reunite with families. >> prayers have been answered. the nightmare is over. >> reporter: amanda berry disappeared in 2003 at age 16 on the way home from her job. gina dejesus disappeared a year later at age 14 on the way home from school. michelle knight was in her early 20s when she disappeared in 2002. police say a former school bus driver named arial castro imprisoned the women inside his home just miles from where they were abducted with the help of two brothers. they have all been arrested. the women finally escaped after a neighbor heard amanda screaming for help. >> she was in the door and she said, help me get out. so i'm looking at her, you know, what's wrong with you? we was in here for a long time. >> reporter: amanda called 911. >> i have been kidnapped and i have been missing

. >> and we have confirmed that the person, suspect, is arial.ost interesting thing we heard is the fact that castro was at one point a school driver, bus driver, for the cleveland metropolitan schools. whether or not any of these girls were students that he drove, we don't know. i called up the school district to confirm that but certainly the neighbors say they see the school bus parked at his house. the other thing the neighbors tell us that's very interesting is the fact that they saw children, one girl maybe 9 years old, not sure who she might be the daughter of, but one of the girls missing for some ten years, very interesting that -- it brings up a lot of scenarios. obviously they were being held against their will. the sheriff's department has search warrants and has returned to the area en masse and are searching the suspect's home at 2107 sycamore as well as the homes nearby for any thread of evidence but in my career, 33 years here in cleveland, just an amazing turn of events because usually these things end up with some sort of a dig,

i know you also spoke with a man who played in a band with arial castro for 20 years. what did he tell you? >> i did, jake. his name is tito dejesus but i want to make it clear he has the same last name as this family but they do not believe they are related. they just have the same last name. here's the reason it is important. tito played in a band he tells me with aerial castro for 20 years. he played piano. castro played the bass. even showed me a picture of them together, jake. he socialized with him, helped him move into his house. he's been in the home where those girls were rescued last night and he said nothing stood out. nothing was odd about it. it seemed like a normal home. but i asked him, did aerial castro ever mention anything to you about these alleged kidnappings? did that happen at all? i want you to take a listen to what he told me. >> he asked me one time. he said, hey, did they find your cousin yet? i asked him, my cousin? and then i put two and two together. i said, gina, i don't think she is my cousin. we might be related. i don't know. i said no.
