our arjun kharpal joins us live from blockchain paris week. bonjour, arjun. >> bonjour, frank.re is a market rally taking place. let me just explain that a bit. it all comes down to what we're seeing in terms of banking turmoil. firstly you have a lot of bitcoin fragility showing bitcoin as a great alternative. that's one reason we're seeing that. secondly it could force the fed to rethink its rate hiking path and potentially slow down the. the big question is is the crypto over? of course, there's optimism. perhaps there is a slightly more upbeat outlook for the crypto world, but certainly there are so many issues. key crypto banks and lenders of the industry who picked up the slack there as well, those are very key questions and also, you know, given sort of the broader macro environmental, does blockchain, which is being talked about a lot here, going to be adopted when perhaps companies aren't invefgt as much technology and some of the future thinking areas at the moment? certainly a lot of uncertainty remains. is the crypto world over? i think it's a bit too early to tell,

arjun: good question. there are some venture capitalists that might not have the capability to fund. i saw some tweets from some angel investors, you can't just wire money to help the company. there is a process you have to go through, understanding the risk of where the company is. if the company itself is under rightable -- underwriteable in the first place. who can we set them up with that has the capability to underwrite them? can we do bridge loans? can we bring more investment into the company through equity? one of the issues is you will have a lot of predatory folks going after these companies. our goal as fiduciaries is to make sure that does not happen. caroline: you have been writing throughout the day. we hate to say silver linings in these clouds, but who benefits ultimately from portfolio companies trying to diversify, and indeed the vc's? ed: many venture capitalists believed staying put was the right move but the name i kept hearing was jp morgan that was getting a lot of phone calls. also

arjun khapal is in london with more. >> good morning, frank. a couple of things to watch out for. the rally in crypto is brought on by a couple of things. flight by bitcoin. it is seen as safer than the banks and perhaps the fed may have to slow down the pace of rate hikes which has given bitcoin respect. what we have seen is aggressive action from u.s. regulators in the first few months of the year. post the collapse of ftx. the wells notice to coinbase and now going after binance. the largest cryptocurrency exchange. binance was a big player behind the collapse of ftx and came out as the crypto savior. saying it remains despite the turmoil when cz really is trying to show himself as a responsible player in the industry. now the ftc announcing the flouting of rules with customers. impact is down to how many investors are trading on the international exchange. if those are taken out of the market, what does that do to liquidity? if these actions continue to ramp up, it could put a lot of retail investors, particularly, off the crypto space in what they are seeing so far. a lot of

let's begin with meteorologists lisa arjun with a look at what you can expect.orologist: we are already seeing the storm impact the commute with ponding on the roadways. you can see them washed all the way back into hawaii. we are looking at an area of low pressure to the north and the moisture bringing all the ring. in the north valley, east of marshall, a solid deck of light ran through the rest of the north bay, berkeley, concord, walnut creek. the winds have kicked up a little bit of a break here on the peninsula. the south bay has been looking at on and off light rain. this is a level 3 system this afternoon through early tomorrow with moderate to heavy rain. we can see strong gusty winds already picking up. as a result, a flood watch until 10:00 on sunday as we see more waves of rain saturday and sunday. current wind 27 mphs, at the airport. oakland. 29 mph hayward. 52 mph around mount diablo.
