we know he has pardoned other people like joe arpaio. he has talked affectionately in some ways about paul manafort in the past and said he felt like he was railroaded and treated worse than alphonse capone. so we'll see what he does. obviously, he at some point essentially flipped on the president. now he seems to be trying to eye a pardon. we'll have to wait and see what this president does. >> president trump has been trying to undermine mueller and the entire intelligence community and anybody that might be investigating him for quite some time. clearly it's had a political effect where a lot of people believe, a lot of republicans believe him and do not believe robert mueller. and clearly, there might be a political reason for that, if it does actually come for impeachment. but isn't there a flip side in this? isn't there a risk that what if mueller comes forward with a report that is very convincing, very credible. doesn't actually impugn president trump and people see, oh, wait, the president was not telling the truth about this?
