arturo santiago has new details of her latest arrest. good morning, arturo. >> reporter: good morning, jon. 47-year-old was just trying to keep her son out of trouble when her story went really heavy on the details just like she did back in 2005 when she lied about the crunchiness of the finger she had beaten into. she's charged with being accessory to a felony and filing a false police report. a detailed descriptions of two nonexistent men who supposedly shot her 26-year-old son in the ankle. she said one of them wore a black oakland a's cap and air jordan shoes and other was a big man with goatee and large ears. her son shot himself in the ankle but made up the story because he has a burglary conviction on his record and is not supposed to have a gun. their story fell apart under more questioning by detectives and an investigation. so they are scheduled to be arraigned in court at noon today here at the hall of justice. we're live in san jose, i'm arturo santiago, "today in the bay." >> it is 5:06. walnut creek police trying to figure

that's where arturo santiago joins us live.scene is just over a mile hike from where we are here on alum rock avenue. i'm told she has to make her way to the body, and then give her approval for search and rescue teams to remove it. the search and rescue volunteers have been standing by this morning. park rangers reported that the body had been found just before 2:00 yesterday afternoon. it appears that the person had fallen 130 to 170 feet off of a cliff. the body had to be left overnight because the train was so rugged and difficult to access, and by the time rescuers got to the body, there just wasn't enough time before it got dark to remove it. the coroner along with the san jose search and rescue and santa clara county search and rescue are working to retrieve the body. it won't be easy because of the nature of the terrain. it will be an extensive and complicated operation. >> the crews are going to have to rappel down the same way the victim had fallen, to gain
