. >>> a robbery suspect is dead, shot by an anne arundel county police officer in the parking lot of a brooklyn park store. it happened last night at murph's lickers on richie highway. brian kuebler is here with more on the shooting and why the investigation continues tonight. >> reporter: well, marybeth, police say 47-year-old brian doukas was implicated in four robberies throughout anne arundel county. when officers confronted doukas in a liquor store parking lot, police say the suspect tried to run over an officer twice. the officer fired and struck doukas, killing him. doukas was implicated in four county robberies, most recently the tnc bank in crofton. it was a surveillance video that led police to doukas, but said they had to use deadly force. >> suspect then slammed on the gas and went toward the officer. the officer had drawn his weapon and fired multiple rounds and struck the suspect, and he died onscene. >> reporter: police say they are still looking for the woman in the surveillance video. if you know anything about her or this case, they want you to call metro crimestopp

kelly mcpherson is liva -- live in ann anne arundel county. >> reporter: all 21 dogs were found alive. but where they were living, inside a house and a travel trailer, was so filthy that an investigator had to go in, wearing a hazmat suit. >> reporter: the first thing you notice about this house is its stench. >> death. and feces. and like this gunk all mix the into one bad smell. >> reporter: krista deer has been calling anne arundel county agencies for months, complaining about this property. finally, friday, it required a man suited up for hazardous materials to go in to take pictures. inside animal control found 21 dogs. the county executive liaison was the first official to see and smell the inhumane conditions. >> there were mattresses that had feces on them. and there were feces piled up inside of the trailer, where the dogs were living. and i didn't see any evidence of any food or water. but certainly in the trailer, with the windows covered up in plastic. >> the fire department says a man in his 40s lives inside with the dogs. now, animal control has all of them. and they are

according to the anne arundel county sheriff's office, a pasadena man has been arrested for threatening a county judge. they say 57-year-old harvey burrows left more than one threatening message on the voice mail of judge paul harris. apparently burrows was unhappy because the judge sentenced his brother to 18 years in prison for burglary and theft. >>> and now for a look at tonight's top story. 21 dogs have been removed from a home in anne arundel county. neighbors say they have complained for a listening time about the smell, and are glad something was finally done. no word yet what if any charges the homeowner will face. the dogs are now in the custody of animal control. >>> it's two life sentences for a man convicted of kidnapping and rape. 23-year-old kiheem taylor was convicted of kidnapping a pair of teens from the timonium light rail station and raping one of them over a two-hour period. along with the two life sentences, the judge also tacked on 100 years.
