when we start in a city such as san francisco, we look at what makes the city unique and seek out experiences and personalities and guides for the site that can really tell the city to tourists and locals alike. a couple of examples of the -- there's a passionate street artist in the mission will had offered tours to friends and family and people in the community. he had become an expert. he discovered our platform and is not able -- not only able to monetize and make money to do what he loves that he had already been doing the sharing the expertise and knowledge will be on his own network of family and friends. we have tourists coming from japan and france, and instead of just seeing pier 39, they are also venturing into the mission, spending money at the local readers shop and gaining knowledge about something they have now become passionate about. one other example is a homeless man who lives in the tenderloin at a shelter. him volunteering in the tenderloin. realized that there was a huge opportunity for people to educate themselves about homelessness in san francisco because it is someth

adding with all come together as a board, as a city. we should come together as san franciscans, and, colleagues, at this time, i hope, and i asked that we unanimously vote for ed lee to be our next mayor. this is also a historic day for the asian-american community. for a community that has been here in santa francisco, for over 160 years, i am a product of that community. i know the ed and all of us of asian-american decent feel the legacy. i want to thank all of you who have been part of this historic moment to make this happen. and say that this is obviously not just about a chinese- american community or an asian american community. this is about the american dream. the idea that anyone of any background of any color from any part of the globe can come here and sunday be at the very top of what our community is about -- and someday be at the very top of what our community is about.

having said that, i am proud to have a city that realizes that fire is a problem in the city. we have many options. there is a lot of redundancy as it relates to fire suppression. we have a low pressure system that sets off the drinking water in the city. we also have the awss, but you are also right in certain parts of the city, anything west of the court or, we now have that capability. throughout the city we have cisterns with supplies of water under the ground and be used to augment in the event of maine failures. we have approximately 177 cisterns that call for repairing and a growing that system or option, i would set. you are right, that is very much a temporary plant for us. we currently have four in various quarters of the city that carry hoses to do above ground water attacks, if you will. the portable water supply system is certainly something we would love to grow in terms of having additional resources, particularly out in the more vulnerable area, like the richmond and sunset district. it is proposed that if we were to have a full-blown water supply system, it would cost $8 million, but in the scheme of things it is
