we've had wind gusts at 36 miles per hour in ashburn. wind guests 32 at children's hospital and you can see the winds pretty brisk out of the west at 18 miles an hour there. all in all we're looking at at least dry conditions but a good bit of clouds. more clouds farther north and east. this is all part of that same weather system that brought us all the rain yesterday. this is our visible satellite. where you're seeing the bright white color, that's where the thicker clouds is. the system from maine back to new york city, a good bit of rain. and we have the gusty winds on the back part of this system. as the low pulls a little farther to the northeast, the winds will subside. it will be busty throughout the afternoon and temperatures ranging between 60 to 65. again, feeling cooler because of the winds. now, later on this evening i think a lot of us will be able to see the partial solar eclipse. it starts at 5:52. you want to look in the western sky. it will actually peak at 6:17. sunset is at 6:19. you'll see a little bit of a sliver. y
