i'm ashleigh banfield. this is "legal view." we're at the location of the michael dunn trial.ot of people hearing this, another trial about race and a young kid who is dead, because of someone who was afraid or at least that's as the story goes. a lot of facts being thrown around in that courtroom. we're not even halfway through this case at this point. the prosecution did just rest moments ago, so we're expecting the defense case to get under way. and there are 16 people in that courtroom who matter most. who truly matter most, as it is always the case. the jurors. yes, there are 16. that's because there are alternates and no one knows who the alternates are. i can tell you the makeup of the 16, though. ask this is critical. we have ten women -- i said ten men earlier on. it's ten women and six men. ten of the jurors are white. three of them are african-american. two of them are asian. and one person is described as both white and hispanic. so that's the racial makeup, if that matters at all. and many say it does. but what about their attentiveness and what they're like in co

i'm ashleigh banfield. it is friday, february the 7th, welcome to "legal view." sometimes surveillance video is more compelling because of what you hear than what you see. such is the case in the piece of videotape i'm about to run for you. it might look like any normal transaction at a convenience store. make no mistake, it is not. just off to the right-hand side of the cameras, a teenager is being shot to death. 17-year-old jordan davis. the other kids in the car are being shot at. it is all happening at a jacksonville parking lot in jacksonville, florida. the man doing the shooting is michael do michael dunn. he is on trial for first-degree murder. he said it was self-defense and he did it because he saw a weapon. today, those other teens in the car that day are going to testify about how their friend died. davis' friend is expected to take the stand at any moment. before we get to that, i want you to listen to the number of shots that dunn quesqueezed offd pay very close attention to what seems like a very long pause. start counting as round two of the bullet

i'm ashleigh banfield and welcome to "legal view." this is the biggest question in politics right now. will she or won't she? and guess what? this time i'm not referring to hillary clinton and a certain presidential race. i'm referring to this woman, instead. jan brewer. the republican governor of arizona. who is believed to right now be signalling possibly a veto of the latest legislation from the state to set off a firestorm. as we first reported on cnn, sources are saying that brewer is likely to veto the bill. it's a senate bill called 1062, sb 1062, better known as maybe the religious freedom restoration act. it is an act that would shield arizona businesses and the owners of those businesses from lawsuits, if they decide to deny service to certain people based on their own, their business owners' own religious beliefs. the governor, jan brewer, spoke exclusively with cnn's dana bash. >> i have a history of deliberating and having an open dialogue on bills that are, controversial to listen to both sides of the issues. i have to l

>>> i'm ashleigh banfield in new york city. and we are getting late-breaking word that the attorney general of the united states, eric holder, is right now in the hospital. this because apparently earlier today he was experiencing symptoms of shortness of breath and faintness. so he was rushed off to the washington med dlpsz star hospital where he is right now presumably undergoing tests. there's very little we know about the circumstances right now of the attorney general. serious enough that he's been hospitalized. our justice correspondent, evan perez, has been watching to find out if there are anymore of these late-breaking developments. we know he's a 63-year-old man who is extraordinarily hard working. but are we finding anything else about the conditions he was dealing with today, evan? >> well, you know, he was having a normal day. meeting with some of the his top aides at about 9:30 when he experienced some faintness and some shortness of breath. and that's when the decision was made quickly to take him to the hospital
