victims are 22-year-old kristin smith, 24-year-old charity perry, 31-year-old bridge it webster and 22-year-old ashley bodies were found in remote wooded areas around portland and surrounding counties. initially police tried to tamp down speculation of a serial killer saying they had no reason to believe the cases were connected. late yesterday that all changed in making the announcement they said the public is not believed to be in any danger and this is perhaps why. media outlet attention are reporting that 38-year-old gelsy calhoun is the person of interest and he is in custody. the department of corrections tells us calhoun was sentenced in 2019 to 50 months for burglary, assaulting a police officer and car theft. in 2021 his sentence was commuted and back on the streets. two years later on july 3rd at the request of the d.a.'s office clemency was revoked by the current governor. former governor kate brown granted clemency to 912 non-violent inmate. calhoun was among them even though his criminal history includes assault. she granted the 130 pardons and evented death row making her one of the soft
