[laughter] >> it's truly a great organization. we in our capacity, we work a lot with different neighborhood associations, different merchant associations. and far and away the lower haight merchants association is one of the best we had the pleasure to work with. that holds for always, but this past year was a really remarkable year for the organization. they dealt with some challenges, notably the water and fire, some public safety concerns. and they also had some success he. they have art walks really successful art walks four times a year. but then there's always another street fair happening. it's really, you know, we can celebrate their achievements, but it's really the spirit with which they do their work, the passion and the creativity and the sense of community and bringing people to the table to figure out what's best for everybody that really lets them stand above the rest. so, bring up the award recipients. congratulate to the lower haight neighborhoo

they have been a client of davis and associates in the past. as part of the proposal they submitted, they fully disclosed their previous that pg&e was a client in the past. we did have an independent panel. one of the panel questions was to disclose any conflict of interest and talk about relationships with p g&e which davis and associates did have as did other folks who completed for this contract. the independent panel who scored ultimately selected davis and associates felt confident that there wouldn't be any conflict of interest. also in our existing contract with davis and associates we have privacy clauses and conflict of interest clauses. i think we at the pc feel confident that there is no conflict of interest and any work that davis and associates will do for the pc will not be conflict future work with pg&e. >> it's wonderful to see daniel webster students in the audience with us today. ms.fox, i did want to ask, davis and associates will do an extensive public outreach in education campaign. was there any discussion how they will re

is that the noe valley merchants association has made this a standing committee. and they twice a month have an ongoing meeting, where businesses can drop in, work on policy issues. i think what has been really excellent is that they have gone door-to-door to all the businesses in the noe valley district. not just their membership to outreach and do education. and while -- and as a result of that, several businesses, who had the letters were proactive, did a cast inspection. at minimum they have saved over $100,000 for businesses in their areas from preventing them from going into litigation. and so that, i definitely want to recognize. the other component is that while they have gone door-to-door, we also have seen businesses that did not necessarily respond or take heed to the information. and so the noe valley merchants are a very good voice, because they have done a lot of work. and so when they are talking to our state and federal representatives, they can really talk about the difficulties of small businesses really understanding the regulations and the nuan

i have sat on the san francisco association of realtors arbitration board. i have chaired the forms committee for the san francisco association of realtors, the education committee and on the california association of realtors form and education committees. i work with vanguard properties, risk assessment. i reviewed the files. i have a special hand as assistant legal counsel, i have a special interest in the city of san francisco how we live, and living efficiently. i met my wife at the ymca. i sat on the board of the san francisco child abuse prevention center for six years, and helped last year to find a home for the child advocacy center in bayview. we are excited about that. we have a real feel for san francisco. i have a new perspective as again a renter. the question posed to all of us, in needs an amendment. have gone through this process with the home i no longer own. it's been more than three years when i wrote a check for $70 for an appeal. the check was cashed the next day. yesterday i received a refund, not the whole $70. from my understanding m

the concert association has kids days during the week. the performers come out for hundred 200 kids. now, the truckadero truck house gets rented out for weddings and retirement. the croquet clubs and horse shoes. 2 play grounds, tennis courts. we have from 25 to a hundred dogs here. it's like bisons going across the mid west. there are so many dogs they are covering the ground cht it's a get together. all the dog walkers know each other. if you go to pine lake day camp now, you will see 50 kids there. the r directors are wonder. >> the pine lake is natural. they take of the area around the lake. they plant natives that are drought tolerant. one that stands the dry summers here. the whole park is under going quite a bit of reconstruction. they will renovate the trails around the lake. and the big project is the capital project for pine lake meadow. they are going to returf the dog run and the meadow by the day camp. we are looking for a very busy fall. by the spring of next year should have major renovations to the mark thal make it an out
