not this year that touches my heart about the filipino association they came to our association where we award scholarships. basically, the latin-american association gives scholarships to students. this year we gave 5 thousand scloop and normally we give $3,000 and 15 hundred. this year we awarded just a minute i want to say that the latin-american teachers association is an association who's mission so to promote bilingual educational education for teachers in san francisco and students students who wouldn't get scholarships because of their undocumented status so we target those so we have homegrown students this year who we also recognize (clapping) and unfortunately, we didn't invite my of our students we knew they were busy but we have 16 students and i have their names but not where they're going the 5 optional ion. the $5,000 recipient itself first time ever to receive the highest score by his application is mr. sanchez who received $5,000 and attended international high school. there is no association with lobbying in what we do. what we do is we go to the employees of the city that are paid for by the taxpayers of the city, by us as tax payers and access the approval process, the entitlement process to help get businesses, small property owners, solve their smallest problems. now, if this process is not available to these smallest of businesses, if it becomes more expensive because of more burdens being placed upon us, people like myself will go to work for either architect firm, engineering firms, attorneys offices that are less exempt and would be much more expensive. and that cost will be passed on to the business owner who is trying to start something up. i want to clarify that all the information that you are asking for is currently available. there is absolute transparency in what i do, that every time that i have -- get an approval from any city agency or we get any authorization, it is posted online and could be accessed for any consultant in this room within just a couple of key strokes of the depart

the golden gate association strongly opposes at&t's proposal for the wireless facility on 18 union street it's a beautiful example of architecture and a unique part of the historic commercial district. the proposed installation will raise the roofline of on existing penthouse and allow 4 smokestacks to extend above that it will become the informational point and the size of this proposed facility is suitable for van ness and lombardy and other adjacent places. we work to have the charm of the golden gate valley and the wireless communication facility has no charm or character and should be rejected. i was disappeared when i looked the alternative site analysis despite it 2014 notice of requirements number one that asked for an evaluation of the w t s facility at&t's at the 1892 to 98 the spirit store featuring a clock analysis there was some other pact i didn't see it this building in question this clock tower building is a shopping mall architecture it's totally fraudulent i think that golden gate valley will support an exposed on top of that clock tower that could be designed in a twhim

and my name is gus and i am here today with the california nurse's association and i am also a res did he resident of district eight and we are patient advocates and a critical component is assuring affordable access to quality healthcare what we have heard today is the legislation that reviewed today is that they are essentially wanting to wait and look at more review and get more information and if we do not act now, we are going to see tens of thousand ands of low income san franciscos being kicked out and left to fend for they feelselfs and as stished is extremely unaffordable. and that means that more families being muches most likely being pushed out of the city and pubt to really harsh and difficult financial situations. and we frankly as an organization of patient advocates who know the upon theser and the impacts of not having access to affordable have on health cannot, and that is why we are here to support the legislation and urge everybody to close the loophole and make sure that all san franciscans have access to affordable healthcare. >> thank you. >> next speaker, please
