and astride it all tonight, facebook. now 500 million users. something historic. you're going to meet the illusive mark zuckerberg, the 26-year-old founder, in just a moment. but first, we do want to turn to that serious new threat in the gulf tonight. the storm taking shape, gathering strength. a system halting work in the gulf again. and matt gutman is in louisiana for us once more. matt? >> reporter: diane, that's right. that storm could hit as early as this weekend and we're now learning that a key component of the entire operation out there at the spill site is on hold until they know better where this storm is headed. now, of even greater concern, talk now of opening up that cap that has been keeping all of that oil from the gulf for six days now. this armada could begin evacuating the spill site by tomorrow and work on that relief well, just days from intersecting the crippled well, has now been stopped. but the biggest concern tonight, if that storm makes its way into the gulf, the 24-hour watch over the leaky new stacking cap would have to be abandoned. >
