parents are relieved nothing bad happened but they are not completely at at ease. dawn timmeney is live in northeast philadelphia tonight. dawn? >> reporter: good evening, iain and lucy. it's quiet here now, but it was a very volatile scene earlier today after a student brought a gun to school. now, no threats were made. it turns out the gun was not loaded. no students were hurt. but parents are beside themselves. they want to know how something like this happens and frankly students are afraid to return. >> i was frightened. i was like, what if somebody come signed the class loom and start shooting us up. >> a rattled 10 greater leaving the samuel fels high school with her mom this afternoon after a morning lock down lasting several hours. >> at around 9:30 a.m., a student observed another student in one of the classrooms here at fels with a firearm. the student snapped a photo of this firearm. notified the school. >> reporter: fels high school in the somerton section of philadelphia placed on lock down immediately. skyfox over the scene. police in tactical gear a

erin o'hearn joins us lie at the big board with that story. >> matt let's take a look at this map becausewill give you a clearer picture as to how close these church arson were to each other. the trail of fires began at the healing hands christian church and that's in the 500 block of berry town road just before 2:00 a.m. now, while firefighters were battling that blaze, the manship chapel went up in flames. that's about 4 miles away from the healing hands church. then around 5:30 a.m., a third church, the laws mennonite church suffered the same fate resulting in roughly $10,000 worth of damage. now, everything is just charred. many of the items here unrecognizable. you can imagine how emotional this is for members of each of the churches. fortunately, one of the churches suffered far less damage but the worst off was healing hands. it had a total loss -- it was a total loss and the fire caused about $75,000 in damage, devastating news for this community right before the holidays. >> we need a place now for sunday morning service and right now we don't have one. but we depending on god an

look at the drenching rain that is continuing at the shore.it's not as heavy as it was earlier on beach avenue. that is the view from the marquette to lafayette hotel. the winds are just as strong as earlier. 25-mile-per-hour wind gusts in atlantic city and the wind will stay strong and steady into this afternoon. but the rain will be tapering off at some point this morning. some areas are already seeing it. moving on to cape may county through atlantic county and a dry slot and a break for most of delaware. that's reaching into chester and portions of delaware county, as well. farther north and west that snow mixing in with freezing rain, unfortunately, in the allentown area. getting around right now north and west, problematic as the temperatures are hovering right around the freezing mark. as the day goes on, this system will allow the temperatures to warm up a bit. at 7:00 the rain continues by this afternoon much less rain, but we'll still get the strong, gusty winds and that is going to keep a chill in the air and keep the potential for
