jeff, joining us live from at & t park. tim lipscomb there tomorrow. jeff is there tonight. >> yes, waiting for the players to get my tickets early, guys. out here in the stands. look at this. nobody sitting around me. that doesn't bother me. we are in the home of the giants nbc bay area. and we are out here early getting geared up for fanfest which is going to be happening as we head throughout saturday. from 11:00 a.m. right into 3:00 p.m. single sale tickets go on sale at 9:00 a.m. you want to get here too. the players are coming on out. what is a ballpark without a ball cap. thought we would show you iconic caps here throughout the san francisco history. the first one of course, the very iconic one, that they had for years at this point. the one next to it. this is my favorite. this one came out last year. it has that las vegas themed sign on there. with all of the giants -- you know, logo embroidered in that. that really was, a take on, you know really a gamble this past season. but they did it. they made it to the playoffs. you can see, over here.

and what this was, was a series of intensive things that took park at the glen park elementary school for a week, very focused work that happened. and what that planning process did was identify some different concepts and visions for the neighborhood. these were in the areas of open space, a lot of transportation improvements and some concepts for potential development. it didn't propose any zoning or check on the feasibility of the projects within that draft plan but it presented these ideas. so that plan was endorsed by the planning commission. i think commissioner antonini he you were on the commission at that time in 2004. so the plan did sit on the shelf for a little while until we could get some funding to carry forward the environmental review process and to do some of the transportation feasibility work to see if some of the ideas were feasible to move forward. so in 2009 with our partners at the san francisco municipal transportation agency we relaunched the glen park community planning process and we had an open house in glen park at the elementary school in april, and we'v

of workshops that planning has hosted, workshops the sfmta has posted related to parking and transportation, we have been at the glen park neighborhood association meetings, and have been working closely with other agencies. we have also done office hours at the glen park recreation center, if people had questions, made ourselves available that way. people have been really involved, and that is great for our work. there are a variety of opinions, of course. in general, when we released the draft last september, we opened a comment period for this, we got about 70 different comments from different people. generally, there was support of the plan, which was good to hear. of course, they did not agree on all the different aspects. pedestrian improvements, pedestrian safety came through loud and clear as something people wanted improved. in terms of the transportation projects, people are interested in the transportation projects, supported the bigger ones, but wanted to see smaller, near term projects. people are tired of waiting. this has been going on since 2003. this is something we are putting an eye towar

want to thank you all for your very hard work n these important issues my younger daughter is at rosa parks. there are at least five service providers. i don't know if there are any efforts to bring efforts together. i wondered if there was any discussion of that in your meetings. i have kind of a controversial question. i'm concerned about the sustain ability of the program. i was surprised to see very rich offerings at middle schools all for free. they were not slidingscale. there are some families in a position to pay something. i'm a big advocate for slidingscale for those who can't afford it. i know public dollars are shrinting. public dollars are relying on grants. these are also shrinking. >> with respect to the rosa parks program, i know there are multiple after school programs at that site. with respect to what the needs are, i'm not prepared to work with that community as well. putting them together with teachers and where they are working on. i'm not suggesting that they be consolidated. then we are asking what are the strengths. point out where you would like to grow this is a c
