the things that has really stood out to me in watching these hearings is that when you look back atwater gate how much it took to protect and preserve american democracy. it took all of the institutions in washington, the media, the fbi the justice department, the house, the senate, the courts, and what a critical role congress itself plays in protecting democracy. and what we are seeing right now is the committee doing some of that important work, but we still don't know where we are in the arc of the story of january 6th. we don't know as a country whether we will look back on this as a turning point for the country or a warning that got ignored. and judge luttig on thursday told the committee clearly and plainly that donald trump and his allies are out there saying that they will steal the next election, and i think we need to take that warning seriously, and i hope congress takes its responsibility to protect american democracy just as seriously as the watergate committees did in the house and the senate in 1973 and '74. >> all great points. we have several hours of these hearings to

the annual nascar luncheon was back in town this year held at the atwater tavern in san francisco .ne of the headliners, and he's not necessarily known for his road course acumen, although he did win this race once back in 2011. growing up in vegas. this was always a fun road trip where we would come up and race the southwest tour car on saturday and in the nineties. i won that one of the saturday races and this track will always be special in my heart because i believe it helped springboard my career to the cup series. the oklahoma sooners softball team just capped off one of the most dominant seasons and ncaa history. yesterday, they beat texas 16 to 1 in game one of the best of three women's college world series tonight. the sooners trail too early, but got some great defense right there. jada coleman getting way up to rob kourtney day of a home run. coleman, with the outstanding catch keeps it a two run game. oklahoma scores seven straight to take a big lead and then look out quick. this one leaves the park. three run homer for grace lines to break it open. ou wins 10 to 5 for t
